WESTERN UNION PARTNER PAGA

Leader in global payment services, Western Union Company, has announced the launch of a new mobile money transfer (MMT) service in Nigeria which increases the reach of Western Union pay-out options in the country. This new service will be integrated directly with Paga, Nigeria’s leading mobile payment platform. This service affords Paga users; the opportunity of receiving a Western Union Money transfer transaction directly into their Paga account, the customers can then withdraw the money by sending it to a bank account, withdrawing from an ATM, through Paga’s network of over 4,000 agents in Nigeria or at participating Western Union Agent locations around the country.

The African Regional Vice-President for Western Union, Aida Darra, said that Western Union continues to introduce new service offerings to expand its mobile footprint as part of their Omni-channel strategy, which facilitates financial inclusion for consumers who may not have access to traditional banking products.
