NOTICE TO NIGERIANS ON THE JANUARY 2013 E-PASSPORT INTERVENTION EXERCISE

This is to inform our Nigerian citizens who participated in the January 2013 passport exercise that there have been ongoing efforts by the Embassy to retrieve the passports from the Nigerian Immigration Service in Abuja.

It would be recalled that out of the 177 persons captured during that exercise, 70 passports have been produced, retrieved and delivered to their owners in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Every effort is being made by the Embassy to ensure that the Immigration Service, Abuja concludes action, produce and release the remaining 107 passports for onward delivery to Stockholm.

Nigerians who are affected are kindly requested to exercise patience as the Embassy continues with its efforts to retrieve the passports.  The Embassy is aware of the tremendous difficulties this may be causing those affected by the delay and regrets any inconvenience caused.
